I'm in Bali at the moment, it was the first time I had to put on bathers in a while. Lets just say I got a rude awakening when I looked in the mirror my first thought was "HOLY CRAP!!" For my sake I'm thankful that full piece swimwear are in this season!
It can be easy to let things slip - if you let it. When it comes down to it though, there are no excuses to let your health become a second priority. Life's stresses are constant. There are so many contributing factors; work, relationships, finance, family, and that's just to name a few. If you are person who looks for excuses then its going to be pretty easy for you to find one. Ultimately you have to make time and prepare so that life's stresses do not become your scapegoat.
This Summer I know I will be ditching the full piece and sporting a bikini proudly. Here is my top ten for kicking my butt into gear this winter -
1. GOAL - Set yourself one!
2. Invest in a good quality FISH OIL.
3. Remove TEMPTATION for the home environment.
4. Schedule time in your week for grocery SHOPPING and food PREPARATION.
5. Schedule time in your week to EXERCISE.
6. Invest in a set of pyrex dishes (cheap from Big W).
7. Stock you pantry at home and at work with a large box of organic GREEN TEA.
8. Invest in a glass drink bottle or a BPA free drink bottle - aim to drink at least 2.5 litres of water throughout your day.
9. Go through your toiletries and personal items, remove any products that contain PARABENS.
And finally my number ten is MINDSET. You need a positive one in order to achieve anything in life. I believe that the body will do whatever the mind tells it to (the concept that physiology follows psychology). So tell yourself that you can, and you will!!
I will expand on each of these points in future blogs to come. In the mean time below are two interesting reads I found this week:

Life is short, and we only get one chance at it. The healthier you are, the better you are going to be able to live it.
I hope you all enjoy reading my blog, and that it gives you a few tools to add to your personal tool box for how to live your life in a healthier way.
